Welcome to The Color of Love Blog Hop. It runs from November 21-25.
This event is co-hosted by the fabulous ladies, Empi Baryeh, Kiru Taye and Nana Prah.
Come join us in celebrating books featuring characters of color either in multicultural or interracial settings or relationship. Some of my fave authors in this genre are, GA Aiken, Shelly Laurenston and Nalini Singh to name a few.
♣
When I wrote Absolute Surrender, (go on check it out, just click on the title) it wasn’t a deliberate thought to make it multicultural, I had an idea and wrote it: What would an immortal do to find his mate after three thousand years, only to find she’s mortally wounded.
Dramatic much? Apparently I am. 🙂
But several rewrites and a year later, it morphed into a love story that transcends realms. Don’t worry all ends well for H/h.
Probably being a gal of color—I sorta write them that way 🙂 Besides, I live in a country with such diverse ethnicity blending, I guess it finds its way into my creation of characters. Echo, my heroine, was orphaned at age four in my story, and my thoughts drifted to my niece, Christina, who lost her dad when she was just a baby.
(For those who read my blog: A Paranormal Moment—there’s something about it featured there.) Her dad’s Greek and mom’s South African and she’s a gorgeous little girl. So when my heroine needed a background, I sort of stole Christina’s background—sorry angel, love you stacks. 🙂
However, my story has nothing to do with color or race issues—heck, my hero’s an Empyrean angel, and heroine is a whole lot human. And true love never did run smooth. Theirs is a love story that transcends realms.
Seems all my forthcoming novels will fall into the multicultural-paranormal genre.
Have a great day everyone and happy reading 🙂

PS: Now for an extra bonus, I’m giving away a $5-00 Amazon gift card to one lucky winner. Just tell me what’s your all time fave book in this MC/IR genre is and leave your name in the comment column.

Hi Georgia. I don’t really read paranormal but Absolute Surrender sounds intriguing. I will definitely check out an excerpt and see where it leads me. Like you, I write about people like me, which is how come I write IR and MC stories.
