Dipping the quill into a new genre…

Life for me has taken a turn in my writing world. Wondering why?

I love paranormal worlds, heck, with my life bordering on some of those happenings: re: A Paranormal Experience a blog I did a while back, for those interested in reading about my obsession with the world, okay, I’ve digressed. I’ve written two more PNR books Darkness Undone and Claimed by Sin, but what amazed me is the direction I’ve taken a leap into, something that’s been playing in my mind—an idea—but then that’s how wonderful stories are born? Right 🙂

So what is it? Well, if you’ve been stalking my website you’d know what I’m talking about. Writing a YA.Screen Shot 2013-04-08 at 11.51.54 AM

In between working on the draft of my next Fallen Guardian book, ( I work better hashing out two different novels simultaneously. When my characters sulk, and refused to co-operate—re: dreaded writer’s block) I move onto my next project.

I started on my futuristic/something, not sure if its gonna be magical realism or dystopian, but it’s a high concept young adult book, this weekend. Two chapters written down, and I’m really excited at the directions this is taking.

I always love the time of the equinoxes/ solstices, maybe its because I was born on one such day but I feel as if something phenomenal would happen during that time. Well, yes, whether you believe in it or not, it got me thinking, and an idea morphed into a YA story.

will post an excerpt soon. Now back to my writing cave  🙂

Dabbling into different genre’s. That’s creative.

Thanks Nana. Actually, I’ve dabbled a little with YA. Wrote a contemporary story few years ago and I quite enjoyed it. So this idea I have is more suited to a YA, and I’m really excited about it. 🙂
