hiya, welcome to TNBTBH.Screen Shot 2013-07-01 at 10.01.19 PM

This is a great way to find new authors and books out there. My thanks to Zrinka Jelic for inviting me to join. Here’s mine. Enjoy 🙂

1: What is the working title of your book?

I’m wavering between Branded by Sin, Claimed by Sin…oh yeah and Falling in Sin, as you can see not quite settled on a title yet 🙂

Please, feel free to vote on a title.

2: Where did the idea come from for the book?

I crossed my fave book Pride and Prejudice with my other love of things that go bump in the night, viola, my idea for this story took shape.

3: What genre does your book come under?
It’s a New Adult love story with paranormal happenings. My characters fall into the 18-25 years old–except Riley is in fact far far older 🙂

4: Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

I don’t really know, I seldom watch movies unless my family abducts me to do so 🙂 But I guess I’d like unknown actors to play these roles.

5: What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

In a world of rising darkness and carnal hunger, a deadly sin awakens…

6: Is your book self-published, published by an independent publisher, or represented by an agency?

It will be repped by my agent.

7: How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

     About seven weeks.

8: What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

Hmnn,…I write stories I like to read. So yes, it’s for paranormal romance lovers.

9: Who or what inspired you to write this book?

From the moment I first wrote Riley, he appeared in just one scene in my first book, but he stayed in my mind. I knew there was far more to him than just that scene–and oh boy, what a journey this has been, discovering his story.

10: What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

Kicking a tire–LOL. Yes, that’s all it takes to crack through the walls of the unapproachable, but oh so sexy bartender. And Saia gets far more than she bargained for in Riley. Oh yeah, it’s way, way steamy 🙂

More, it’s about acceptance. The road to falling is love is not easy when its strewn with obstacles and family prejudices.

Here’s a snippet taken after Saia had a serious row with mommy dearest. Riley goes after her, But he’s the last person she wants to see right then, after all he did reject her…

‘Riley hunkered besides her, in black sweats and a white tee. His expression grim, he stared into the mist-covered seas and angled his body, shielding her from the wind. His warmth, his smell taunted her. Christ, why was he doing this? Did he like seeing her utterly humiliated?

“I thought you’d be g-gone by now.” Her voice cracked. It hurt to speak.

        “Saia—”

“Please, just go. I have enough to deal with.”

“No. I can’t leave you like this—”

“Whoa!” A harsh laugh ripped from her throat. She glared at him. “I’m a complication remember? Someone you’d need to work at for a quick fuck?”’

I’ve tagged authors who’d be joining me in this blog hop.

Oh, I forgot to vote on the title, I’m partial to Branded by Sin. Falling into sin sounds good, but it is my second choice.
